WELL IT'S ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS

It's good ol' 10 o'clock and I'm up getting sucked into the world of blog land instead of working on my own blog.
Making a layout for my little piece of the internet is very frustrating for me. I'm the hardest on myself and if I am going to really "do" this, I'm going to "do" it. No halfsies. Just all or nothing.
I've been a pretty avid blogger for many years but I'm ready to venture into the world of big-girl blogging and use this as a place of good information, not me complaining of how stupid boys are... yeah, maybe that will happen someday, but I need a boy in my life to do that.
All of this can go with the fact that I'm not some super slick and chic person. I know what is chic, and I appreciate it to the end of the World and beyond, but I do not exude it by any means. I'm that "presh" girl that is always wearing the most obnoxiously under-dressed outfit possible (like a brown tribal shirt, bright yellow high-waisted skirt, and oxfords to a professional meeting with important school officials in attendance... yeah). I'm pretty excitable, rambley, inappropriate, and boisterous but I always mean well. And that's what I want to be reflected in both my content and layout.
I mean, Petite Satchel is not some fabulous fashion blog even if the name may sound like it's headed in that direction. "Petite" comes from a love of the word petite and also the fact that I'm relatively short. "Satchel" is what my Pappaw (my Dad's Dad) has called me my whole twenty-two years of life and it is near and dear to my heart. I have no idea where he got that from, but I love it regardless.
In other words I see blogging as a ridiculously fun way to express myself and maybe make a few friends along the way. It also wouldn't be half bad to make this into some sort of side career... let's be serious. And it's also a good place to share my designs and talk about my business because I'm sure everyone will get tired of me talking about it in real life.
Trying to cut all this short and not make you have to carry along anymore on my out-loud thinking fest, I am going to be doing some modifications to my blog this month to make it more people friendly and visually appealing. I'm enrolling in Pugly Pixel's CSS e-course in high hopes that she will change my life for the best. Unfortunately I may have to take my blog offline, but if you follow me on Twitter I can let you know of this so you won't be alarmed (and that was me pretending anyone actually reads this blog and would mind or worry).
Tomorrow I am working the morning shift at what I will refer to as "el worko" and then I am heading out to the local pumpkin patch with Brooke and Lexie to do some pickin' and of course take some fabulous pictures because that's what bloggers do.

    1. oh, and my blog is far from glamorous, but then again, i'm not a really glamorous person. just make your blog be as "TAYLOR" as possible, and people will love it! i already do :)
