Okay. Organization is not my strong point. Never was and never will
be. I'm a Gemini and use their attributes to my full advantage because
believe it or not I am a full-fledged one.
But here I am trying to beat the odds (and my laziness) and get everything in order. I mentioned in my last post
that I wanted to start living better and more effectively and other
than spending all my pennies I decided getting organized was a great
starting point.
I was reading about organization sites and
stumbled across freaking Google Calendar. I say freaking because it's
been under my nose for years and I never took advantage of it! It's
absolutely amazing and is definitely going to keep me on track big time!
You can put events, tasks, and any sort of other little tidbit you want
on there! Color-coordinated and all! They also have a list section
which put me over the edge because although I am unorganized I am a
list-lovin' fool! And another great feature is that they will even send you text messages with reminders of up coming things going on during your day. On top of this I am keeping handwritten notes about
Print Mint and keeping them in a notebook that was too pretty to not
have a purpose.
I'm just ready to have my life in order because (a.) I need it and (b.) it's working out pretty great so far.
Give Google Calendar a try! I also heard Wunderlist is a really great one too.
I'm
setting a goal for myself that if I blog for the rest of October, not
including S&S, then I will get myself a little treat. And honestly
that treat is probably going to be some sort of desperation clothing
item or I may be smart and put that money in the bank for my dream Mac. I
will have you someday!! I don't know, we will see.
I'm a fellow lister as well! I LOVE LISTS (not as much as I love Klaus though). I actually use springpad.com (they have an app too). It's like pinterest on crack, but you can make your boards private. I use it for storyboarding, cause I can "spring" stuff from the web, and you can also post notes!
